Lalit Modi- The Man who Dared to Dream

Lalit Modi, the man who changed the face, concept and the rules of the game. This sharp, determined, ambitious man has made cricket fast and crisp.

The spectacular success he achieved after a lot of resistance has forced even the traditionalists to accept this multi- million dollar, franchise based game.

Belonging to a leading business family, Modi had inherited all the traits of a successful businessman. He joined the Indian Cricket Board with a view to build a business of distributing paid sports channels.

It was only in 2005, when he became the Vice-President of the BCCI that he could execute his dreams. He handled the commercial activities of the Board, and in no time the board’s profits crossed the 1 billion mark in US$s.

Today his magnificent success has motivated, Percept Picture Company (PPC) to make a film on his life. The Director and the main lead is yet to be decided

The film titled, ‘The Commissioner’, has been inspired by ‘Guru’, which was based on Dhirubhai Ambani’s life.

The graph of his professional life befits a Bollywood theme. A man, who left his family business, pursued his dreams and created history in the world of cricket.
