Paris Hilton-the American so
cialite, heiress, fashion designer, model, singer, and actress has always been at the epicenter of controversies.
In September 2006 she was arrested and charged for driving with a blood alcohol level of 0.08% which is illegal in California.
In Jan 2007, it was 36 months probation and a fine of 1,500$, for reckless driving.
Then again in Feb 2007, it was driving with a suspended license, at 70 mph in a 35 mph zone, in the dark without her headlights on.
And now it is her ‘pet pig’. Paris has always been fond of pets. First it was the Chihuahuas, then Ferrets, Kinkajous and now it is her ‘pot-bellied pig.’
The animal rights campaigners are furious at her yet another display of furry friends.
They have accused her of treating them as ‘disposable accessories’.
This outburst came soon after her announcement of adding yet another pet to her small zoo of pets. She had ordered a ‘Royal Dandie’, from Oregan.
Although she is thrilled, her gesture has infuriated the activists of PETA, who have called her a ‘wretched example’ to her fans, for treating her pets as ‘disposables’.
They are neither disposables nor accessories, and should not be treated like ones, reiterated the activists of the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (peta).
