Windows 7 -A breath of Fresh Air

Microsoft’s latest addition to the world of computers is the new operating system, Windows 7, much more advanced than Windows XP. So if you have been stalling your idea of buying a good and reliable computer for yourself now’s the time to implement it. With Windows 7 you do not have to bother about performance issues, or accessing complicated programmes, as it is much more stable than any existing Operating Systems. It can run on practically all the existing notebooks.

It’s easy to use and performance based features have come as a sigh of relief to all those users who were constantly under the pressure of their systems crashing. With a modified userface, sharing and organizing files has become much easier.

Windows 7 is faster and easier to install. 1 GHz processor and 15 to 16 GB of space is its basic hardware requirement with a minimum of 1 GB memory.

Intuitive features like a different colored taskbar which also provides shortcuts to most commonly used applications and the facility of maximizing or minimizing a window simply by dragging it on top or the bottom of the screen respectively. Fast search of the entire hard drive is another important feature which has been added in Windows 7.

To run Windows 7 on a PC, the basic requirement is 16 GB hard drive space, 1 GHz processor and at least 1 GB RAM. Since PC’s are generally used for Internet surfing, office documents, emails, videos, etc. Microsoft has revamped Win 7 keeping them in mind.

Acer PCs fall between Rs 15,000 to Rs 35,000

HP India ha priced them between Rs 27,990 to Rs 90,000

Acer notebooks will cost around Rs 21,000 to Rs 70,000.
