Despite my immense cynicism at this unlikely pair, I am quite sad to see Paris Hilton and Benji Madden going their separate ways. A part of me never understood why on earth Paris would hook up with Benji in the first place but then again a part of me enjoyed this attraction between the opposites.There was also a part of me wondering why did Paris choose Benji and vice versa.
I think Paris had been bored of her usual taste in men and had decided to walk on a dangerously wild side of life by hooking up with a tattooed rocker. Benji on the other hand, could have been a typical male lapping the attention of a pretty eye candy. But I’ll bet there came a time where he must have been embarrassed at having a pretty blonde girlfriend in her immaculately dressed attire and manicured nails cheering him on at a rock concert. Not the kind of groupie he had imagined for himself.
Sources claim that Nicole Richie, who is dating Benji’s twin brother Joel, had a hand in their break up. It was claimed that Nicole didn’t approve of the relationship. Nicole and Paris have a well publicised history of not getting along and the frostiness is still there today. But whatever the reason had been for the cause of their breakup, it seemed that there wasn’t enough strenght to overcome this and that attraction to each others’ oppositeness had finally come to an end.
