Hendrix Jumps Onto Guitar Hero World Tour

The company behind Guitar Hero, Activision, has officially declared that a prominent rock star will make will make his “posthumous” debut on the Guitar Hero World Tour.

Jimi Hendrix is finally going to be a part of Guitar Hero World Tour. Hendrix will be available as a playable character in the game, and two of his biggest hits will be part of shipped discs.

* “Purple Haze (Live)” (recorded in 1969 at the San Diego Sports Arena)
* “The Wind Cries Mary”

Keeping the surprise element for the gamers alive, the company also announded that one more track from the guitar god would be available as a download.

Considering Rolling Stones has casted Hendrix as the “Greatest Guitarist Ever,” it was a given before some marketting suit realized the potential and went about finding a place for Jimi on the video game bandwagon.
