Women into Games

In what comes as a piece of good news for Gaming industry, it was revealed that almost 40% of video game players were women.
WomenGamers.com is reporting that,
Forty percent of gamers are women according to a new survey released today by the video game industry’s trade group, the Entertainment Software Association (ESA). Additional findings in the ESA’s annual survey of consumer demographics and usage behaviors indicate that the average age of game players has risen to 35.
From being initially taken as an exclusive time pass of the nerdy kinds, video games have come a long way. Even to the extent of becoming a family activity now with complete families competiting with each other during national holidays like July 4th, Halloween, Labor day etc.
This actually comes as no surprise considering that almost 65% of American households now have video games of some sort.
