Super Columbine Massacre Walkthrough
If you thought Grand Theft Auto 4 presented the gamers and the critics with a moral and ethical dilemma then just wait until the first rushes of Super Columbine Massacre hits the media (forget the stores).
Showing a link for download on this side seems to be morally questionable and unethical. So for the time being, I won’t be doing it.
Like the name suggests, the game is based on the tragical event of school shooting based on its namesake.
Danny Ledonne is not getting any love for making these free video games that are available to gamers on the net. The developer has been called disgusting, sick, anti Christ, basically you name it. The press has also not left him in peace and he has been threatened multiple times.
All for developing the games.
If you think I am trying to make him look like a victim here, I am not. He is definitely trying to cash in on something that is questionable and requires long considerable debates from all relevant sides.
After all, the game is based on true events in which two teens stepped into black boots and gunned down dozens of their fellow students at the Columbine High School.
The game is eerily similar to the real incidents. Released on the sixth anniversary of the massacre, the game presents players with a low-res gaming experience that uses material culled from Eric Harris’ and Dylan Klebold’s own words, media reports and police documents.
But many people have taken serious issue with the game. Though the tragedy at Columbine High School occurred nearly 10 years ago, that day remains raw in the minds of many.
And then guess what happened. Another similar shooting took place, this time in Montreal, Canada and the perp took inspiration from this video game.
Will banning such games help in warding of similar incidents in future or does it contravene the first amendment right. I am not qualified to answer this question.
