Michael Phelps Bong
Olympic champion swimmer Michael Phelps has been photographed Smoking Weed. Michael Phelps won a record eight gold medals in the 2008 Summer Games, has publicly acknowledged that the photo in “News of the World,” purportedly showing him smoking marijuana from a bong, is in fact the real deal.
But now Michael has apologized as well saying:
“I engaged in behavior which was regrettable and demonstrated bad judgment. I’m 23 years old and despite the successes I’ve had in the pool, I acted in a youthful and inappropriate way, not in a manner people have come to expect from me. For this, I am sorry. I promise my fans and the public it will not happen again.”
Poor Michael. Marijuana is something which I suspect majority of the college going population indulges in. And we have already seen the likes of Bill Clinton doing it. If you ask an average American, they would say its no big deal. In fact drinking is more dangerous than weed is what they would tell you. So as a matter of fact, Phelps is primarily apologizing to his sponsors who are giving him about $100 million dollars sponsorship deals and not really to his fans who are going to forgive him no matter what.
This is not the first time Michael has been involved in a controversy of this type. Some years ago he was caught and charged with DUI.
