American Idol Star- Danny Gokey
Allison Iraheta elimination left the three guys to fight for the “American Idol” title. Danny Gokey, Adam Lambert and Kris Allen are the three in the boy gang, as finalists.
Danny Gokey is from Milwaukee, and would be visiting his home town soon. He would be welcomed for a parade and a concert. He has been invited to sing at Milwaukee Brewers game. He would be reciting the national anthem. San Diego’s Adam Lambert and Conway, Ark’s Kris Allen with the church’s music director, 29, from Milwaukee would be welcomed at their respective home town before the finale on May 19th and 20th .
Dave Fantle, VISIT Milwaukee spokesperson confirmed that the producers of American Idol are intending to get Danny to Milwaukee so that he could have reap the benefits of publicity through a mini concert that is free for the public to enjoy. He would be singing at the Brewers-Chicago games on Friday.
Jeff Pruitt, Faith Builders Pastor said that he knows Danny since 2000. In the same year Danny joined the church and with in a year he was leading the praise & worship team. He further added that he couldn’t believe his eyes when he says Danny on the stage of American Idol. But at the same time he was very happy for Danny and commented that it was surreal to see him standing there, after the demise of her wife. It got tears in Jeff Pruitt’s eyes to see him fighting the grief of his late wife by looking forward to something else in life.
Danny volunteers in the Faith Builders Church at Milwaukee and Beloit. The show is planned to be screened on Wednesday at Beloit, where he would be singing after the evening service. Friday morning he would be singing at the Milwaukee location.
Danny Gokey gives the credit of being where he is to his late wife Sophia. She passed away only 4 weeks before the audition of American Idol in Kansas City. She died of a congenital heart defect. On the America Idol website in an interview, Danny revealed that it was his wife and he who together decided that Danny would go for the American Idol. Danny remembering his late wife further stated in the interview posted on the site that they were really happy together and from no where Sophia’s illness came in and she passed away. He added that he feels that there is some thing inside him that is bubbling to come out as if there is a message that he has to give to out.
