Susan Boyle, 47, a resident of a small village in Scotland, who used to sing in a local pub there, has proved that American Idol is not the only platform that has been provided to the talented singers. She sang “I Dreamed a Dream” mesmerizing the audiences, on the stage of another reality show called Britain Got Talent 2009. Simon Cowell was one of the panel members and is also judging at the singings contesting for the title of American Idol.
11th April 2009, was the first time that she performed on television. The viral video for the same swept the internet and recorded about 2 million viewers of the same. It seems that her anonymous life has been transformed; she met with the officials of the Sony BMG music.
Rosie O’Donnell, who supposedly had taken a break from blogging on her website Rosie.com, broke her fast with blogging about Susan Boyle. She said to Access Hollywood that what Susan Boyle did that night was like a being hit by a tidal wave. She added the way Susan Boyle performed at the Britain Got Talent show was so good that expecting another such performance from Susan Boyle is too high an expectation.
She appreciated the fact that despite being 47, being a local pub singer from a small Scotland village, Susan Boyle simply mesmerized 2 million people.
After the make over Susan Boyle, Rosie O’Donnell commented that she wished that the make over wasn’t done as the crude form she was in with her bushy eyebrows was a great way to send a message across of what beauty really means. However she said that it is human to do so, with the kind of fame she attracted, for this Susan Boyle can’t be blamed.
It seems that the Susan Boyle who sang at the Britain got talent has gone and there is a new Susan Boyle with tweezed eyebrows and a new trendy hair color. The necessity of such a make over was obvious because of the shows that are due for her in July. She would be seen with Shaun Robinson in the “Drop Dead Diva,” it is a story of model that takes birth again in the body of plus sized curvaceous women. It’s to be premiered on July 12, 2009.
She had a painful and sad life before she hit the stage on Britain Got talent. But now she is enjoying her fame and the new make over.
