Gears of War 2 has been confirmed by Microsoft video games division as an Xbox 360-exclusive sequel with a worldwide shelf date on November 7th, 2008. Ahead of the official Microsoft remarks it was confirmed that the original Gears of War sold 4.5 million DVDs worldwide.
